Cocoro Limited and Small & Medium Enterprise Foundation (SME Foundation) jointly organized the ‘Japan Bangladesh Women Social Entrepreneurs Dialogue 2014’.
Bridge Japan and Bangladesh ~ support women social entrepreneurs
There is a growing number of women social entrepreneurs who work on producing sustainable solutions on social issues through business methodology. Their movements are against donation-based developments, and they focus on working independently on creating sustainable solutions, further encouraging and inspiring a lot of women in Bangladesh to further improve their own lives.
However, support for women social entrepreneurs is still limited. Finding a way to support women social entrepreneurs through collaboration between Japan and Bangladesh or collaboration across Asia is crucial, in addition to the gathering support from individual countries. This will be the first step for such a collaboration towards the journey of carving out women social entrepreneur future.
