We visited Bangladesh Agriculture University, a top agriculture research institute in Bangladesh, to learn about the latest trend in fast growing food industry, especially food processing industry, and agriculture.
At Interdisciplinary Centre for Food Security, we learned about various new projects aiming for food security, through interdisciplinary collaboration. One of the projects works for system development to provide appropriate information to farmers and the team of the project consist of various international organizations: a seed company, a map data analysis company, a mobile application developer and local partners.
We also discussed with the students of the university. They emphasized the importance of food safety and promotion of food export.
