We visited Reliance Solution Limited, a official distributor of Johnson & Johnson’s medical equipment products in Bangladesh, importing various medical equipment for surgeries and selling them to local large hospitals. We interviewed its managing director, Mr. Shafique Kamal, to learn about current trend in medical equipment industry in Bangladesh.
According to Mr. Kamal, medical equipment market in Bangladesh is growing fast, and his company’s sales have been growing more than 20% annually.
Currently, presence of Japanese company in surgery equipment is low. However, he believes it is still not too late for Japanese companies to enter, as the market is growing large enough.
